Top Ten Spelling Mistakes

I am guilty of four of these.  Like, constantly.  Like, even though I KNOW they are wrong.  *sigh*
(Borrowed from a meme on Facebook  Sorry there is nothing concrete to credit)

  1. "Your" and "you're" are two completely different words.
  2. The contraction of "could have" is NOT "could of"
  3. "Then" is a sequence of events.  "Than" is used for comparison.
  4. Most of the time, "affect" is a verb; "effect" is a noun.
  5. "They're", "Their" and "There" are completely different words.
  6. "To", "Two", and "Too" are completely different words.
  7. "Definitely" has no "a" in it - it definitely doesn't.
  8. Pants are "loose"; you "lose" your keys.
  9. You "bear" weight with your "bare" hands.
  10. "A lot" is always two words.
How about you?  What constant misspellings make you crazy??

  1. It drives me nuts when people write "suppose to" instead of "supposed to."

  2. Seriously? Your and you're mistakes are my pet peeve. Like finger nails on a chalk board to me.
